Parents and Physical Growth

This article is about parents and physical growth of a child with disabilities. Husband and wife also need to growth physically. As a couple we put together what we have best to bring up our children, especially the one with disabilities.

Our physical growth as a couple include many aspects of our lives. This include our personal appearances, we have to dress in clean and tidy clothes and practice general personal hygiene of bathing, cleaning our teeth and keeping our hair tidy. Our children learn from us on personal cleanliness. We also ensure that we are healthy, by taking regular medical check ups and seek medical attention when we are sick.

Sometime last year I developed a fever in the night and in the morning the fever did not go away. I told my wife that I would stay home and later in the day see a doctor. My wife told me that she would not go to work either so that she stays home with me. She rang her office and told her boss that she was unable to get to work because the husband was sick. She escorted me to the clinic where I was diagnosed with malaria and I was put on malaria medication.

This gesture by wife of staying with me when I had fever really touched me and I felt loved. I would imagine that If it was her who had a fever, I would have reported for work first and then may be come back to check on her or just ring her. This episode taught me a lot about sharing life between husband and wife.

he other areas physical of physical growth is keeping the home tidy and the surroundings of the house. Everyone in the household is involved and as parents we take the lead.
