Parents and Intellectual Development

In this article I will talk about parents and intellectual development. Sometimes my wife and I exchange our information and in this way we help one another to develop in the mind. Sometimes go I would to the Kitchen when she is cooking and tell her some stories/news which I had read in the newspapers. Sometimes she reads a novel and recommend that I read that novel and I normally oblige.

There are also some jokes, social, economic educational and health information which come through the internet and we are able to share these pieces of information.

We also do bible sharing early in the morning. We start with an opening prayer and then take turns to read the word of God, the psalm and then the gospel. Each one is allowed to talk about the words which had touched them and then this is concluded by a prayer. This has helped us to grow spiritually and intellectually.

My wife and I have agreed that the responsibility to educate the children lies squarely on both of us and we share our tasks accordingly. We also allow the children to take initiatives and will provide guidance.

Once in a while we also buy some books and magazines from bookshops. TheseRange from religious, medicine, economic, social, agriculture and fiction books.
