Parents and Affection
In this article I will talk about parents and affection. When I feel loved by my wife this helps me to grow emotionally, for example when I am being hugged by my wife as I return from work. As parents we have realised that such affection which is done in front of the children impacts positively on the children. The hugging has become infectious in the home as we hug each other (husband and wife) and we hug our children very often as well. As parents we ask ourselves what our attitudes towards our children are, how to help them become responsible and autonomous. As parents we avoid giving bad examples to the children by avoiding being drunk or using insulting language. Children learn from us. As parents we can also frighten our children when we quarrel and fight in front of them. We appreciate as parents that children need love and peace. We have realised over the years that to be fruitful is to give life to children through love and to allow them to grow and live fully, knowing they are loved and cared for.
