Faith Healing

Faith Healing is a belief that God cures people through the Holy Spirit. It is said that no sickness is too strong for God, he can cure any sickness. However, the requirement or the prerequiste to this healing is belief in God. One has to have strong conviction and to be humble and faithful to get healed.

This healing is alternative medicine and it is controversial. Scientists argue that there is no support to claims that faith healing can cure physical sickness.

In our family, we are believers and with God nothing is impossible as seen in the picture, Jesus healing a man with palsy.

Belief in God gives meaning and purpose to human life, as can be seen in the picture an old man with disabilities in a wheelchair praying with the bible.

Lack of faith is the main cause of people not being cured. The lack of faith can be by the “patient”. I will give one specific example.

This is a situation whereby a person who is confined to a wheel chair goes to a healing session and he is asked one question by the healer. The question which is put to this person with disabilities is that ‘what would he do if he was given US $5,000?’ Then the person with disabilities answered that he would replace the manual wheel chair with an electric wheel chair.

This example shows that this person in the wheel chair does not have faith and therefore he cannot be cured. If the mindset for a person on the wheel chair is that one day he will throw away the wheel chair and he will walk and he works towards that goal, this goal can be achieved. After all, it is said “with God nothing is impossible” Trust in God is still alive today and people from all walks of life seek healing from God and some get healed.
