Disability and Socialising

Every child, needs to develop in five different ways and in this article, I will focus on disability and socialising. A child with disabilities needs to be taught how to relate with others, parents and sisters/brothers and friends and how to share. All children must learn good manners.

Christabel is allowed to go for holidays to some close relatives for a couple of days during school holidays. Sometimes she also goes for day visits. We also take her to some zoos, shopping mall and other exciting places. She gets very happy to get out from home since she spends most her time at home.

Christabel is very good at remembering names and faces of people and she is usually the first one to say a greeting with a broad smile when she meets a person. Many people get attracted to her charming and warm smile.

When I am alone or I am with my wife when we meet other people who know our daughter after greeting each other the next thing they would ask is “How is Christabel?” We feel touched by this concern about the well being of Christabel. This brings untold happiness and joy to Happy and Protasio.
